People have recently discussed one of Clarins latest products on Kosmetist — Eclat Minute Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector . I want to add my 5 cents and three samples of this lip balm from my cosmetic bag: Clarins Eclat Minute Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector #02 Coral, #05 red, #06 rosewood

Expanded review: Tiny package of these cuties fits my needs – minimalistic and thin cases with tight golden caps and base, which has the same color as liquid inside, making it’s easier to use this product, especially if you have several colors of this balm (as I do, for example). Everything is really perfect in this aspect, so let’s talk about content. What can we hear from manufacturer of this product? “Balm with melting texture and sweet aroma literally blends with the skin of your lips, giving them soft natural color and radiant shine. It gives intense hydration and visually increases their volume”. Oh, this melting texture… I think all those, who tried this product, noticed ultra-fast consumption speed, as well as stick melting and corresponding deformation of it. Many customers were wondering about usage of this product in summer time. What can I say, it’s just meeeelting as an ice cream, e.g. I had +25 on my thermometer today and were trying to apply balm on my lips as closer as possible, which resulted in stick deformation – you can check photo too see how swollen they are.

This balm has really sweet aroma, I bought my first shade of it in online-shop really spontaneously, avoiding pre-testing. During first opening I was really overwhelmed by its aroma and I can characterize it as stiflingly cloying. Thankfully it became less noticeable in a while and was not disturbing me then. Aroma becomes really light, when applied on lips, and you will almost not notice it in usual life. This balm is sweetish, I don’t have habit of licking my lips, but my husband was happy 🙂 In fact, my first feelings were not so good, in addition selected coral color #2 appeared paler than on pictures and it was a problem to put it normally on my lips. Therefore I would put this product into “outsiders” category, but fortunately I had a chance to evaluate two more samples – #6 and #5 and use brush for these balms. I don’t really like to use brushes for lip balm applying, but I think that such way is optimal for this product.

Despite mentioned disadvantages, I like this product due to its technical parameters. It really makes lips more smooth and brings volume, providing perfect durability. In my case color disappears really fast – in just 1,5 – 2 hours. But lips stay shiny and full, making refreshing process more easier. I have a feeling that it continues to care even after washing, because lips continue to be smooth and moisturized.

#02 Coral. If it was looking strange on me in March, now it looks better after some sun bathing and I like it.

#05 red. This color looks worst on macro, because it highlights relief and is nonuniform, even though it’s not noticeable in daily life.

#06 rosewood. This color was my favorite during testing, but these days it looks not so expressively, due to my suntan.
